Recognition Workflow

Manager reinforces good practice, employee receives positive note — no acknowledgement required

The recognition workflow is how a manager reinforces an SOP that an employee followed well. It mirrors the correction flow up to delivery, but the employee is not asked to acknowledge anything.

Steps

  • Manager selects an employee and a process/SOP.
  • Manager writes a note (typed, spoken, or AI-generated with positive tone options).
  • App saves the recognition and sends a Slack DM to the employee.
  • Employee receives the recognition — it is logged but no action is required.
  • Dashboard shows recognition count per employee and per process.

Differences from corrections

  • No priority field. The priority selector is corrections-only and is not shown for recognition.
  • No acknowledgement. The employee reminder page presents a positive confirmation rather than an acknowledge button.
  • Status remains as-sent. Recognition reminders do not transition through pending -> acknowledged; they sit in their initial state and are never updated by the employee.

Dashboard signals

Recognition contributes to:

  • Recognition count per employee (used by the employee profile and ratio bar).
  • Recognition count per process (used by the process list and detail view to show which SOPs are working well).
